April Ross

April Ross is only one of the few beach volleyball players to have won medals at least twice in an Olympics. She will be competing in Tokyo for her 3rd Olympic gold medal along with Alix Klineman, who is a first-time Olympian. Ross hopes to win more than her first Olympic medal. It could be the last time she has the chance at age 39. But she's still confident of achieving top honours. Ross stated to NBC Boston that if they play their best, and even play well and they are able to play well, the team will be able to win the gold medal. Therefore, I'm hoping to have the chance as well. Ross was born the 22nd, 1982 at Costa Mesa California. She resided there together with her parents. Ross went on to play in numerous activities in Newport Harbor High School. She was a basketball player and also ran track in addition to her volleyball skills in the indoors as a prep athlete. However she was clearly an edge over the other players in the latter sport. When she played in her time at the high school level, according to her college bio, she was a middle-blocker, outside-hitter and setter. In recognition of her work, she was honored as in 1999 as the Gatorade International Player of the year in Circle of Champions. In 2000, the Orange County Athlete of the Month was also received by her in volleyball. Ross and Klineman began their relationship in 2017 However, Ross was a beach scene celebrity for a long time prior to. It's true that she has won numerous tournaments, including one with the legendary player of volleyball. From 2007 until 2013 she was in a partnership by Jennifer Kessy, who is currently her coach. Kessy's teammate Ross, who won the world title together with Kessy in 2009, was also an important player on the an international level. They eventually won a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. They were knocked out of the gold medal by the legendary duo comprised of Misty May-Treanor as well as Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate after Maytreanor's retirement. Together, they took home bronze in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross was a college player for USC Trojans before her pro career. She played during high school and in years prior to hitting the beaches as a professional. Ross had an impressive run through college. She was a All-American as well as Pac-10 Freshman of Year in 2000 as a young freshman. The team also saw her help in helping the Trojans reach into the Final Four. She suffered a devastating personal loss in her sophomore season, but she still repeated her place as an All-American. The last two years as a member of the Trojans team they won victories by winning the national title in consecutive years. In 2003-2004, Ross was named the best female volleyball player on the collegiate scene in the US according to the Honda Sports Award. Ross took a course in International Relations at USC. Margie Ross did not see her daughter make it to the top of the beach volleyball ladder. Ross's mom Margie passed away in 2001 when Ross was still in the midst of being a USC sophomore. Her breast cancer had been diagnosed. As a result, Ross remains close to her deceased parent. Margie is a source of inspiration in her life and on the beach.
