Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a performer from Newark New Jersey on the 9th of August, 1963. Their parents include gospel stars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard) as well as John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick is also a singer. In Newark Whitney, she began singing with the choir of the church as a small child. At the age 15 she joined her mother in the background vocals for Chaka's hit Im Every Woman from 1978. The album sold three million copies in its first album's first year of release in the US and went on to achieve a worldwide sales of 25 million, earning her the first of her six Grammys. The Whitney follow-up in 1987 with the singles Where Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to build on the success of her debut album. But it was, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard that solidified her position as one of the world's most popular artists. While the film wasn't highly appreciated and neither did her performance, the soundtrack of the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You hit the number one spot on both singles and albums charts in America for a period of time. She sold 44,000,000 copies. Her daughter Bobbi was born the month of March of 1993, the year following her wedding to Bobby Brown. About this time her well-documented substance abuse began and by 1996, she was using drugs daily.
Dana Bash, also known by the name Dana Ruth Schwartz, is an American journalist and anchorwoman who works as a political correspondent at CNN. Her previous work included NBC, CBS and other notable channels. She also produces certain shows on CNN's weekends like Evans & Novak Late Edition as well as Inside Politics. Coming to her distinctions and awards Bash was once placed in Women in Washington Power List' by Elle magazine. She is known for her incredible anchoring and reporting capabilities, she's adored by many young journalists in the business.
